The assessment

A thorough evaluation — usually across two sessions

ADHD in adults is frequently missed, and just as frequently diagnosed too hastily. A proper evaluation follows DSM-5 criteria, examines your history from childhood onwards, and rules out the many conditions that mimic ADHD.

Appointments are usually available within days. Payment is made electronically from any country.

Session 1 · 45 min

In-depth clinical interview, developmental and medical history. You receive the validated questionnaires to complete in your own time.

Session 2 · 30 min

Follow-up sessions for medication titration, CBT-based work and practical strategies — all online.

More complex presentations may require additional sessions; you are always told in advance why.

Treatment

Evidence-based ADHD treatment, adapted to where you live

💊

Medication management

Stimulant and non-stimulant options prescribed and titrated carefully, with monitoring of response, blood pressure, sleep and appetite.

🧠

CBT for ADHD

Structured work on procrastination, time blindness, organisation, emotional regulation and the self-critical beliefs built over years of struggling.

📄

Documentation that travels

A written diagnostic report in English for your university, employer or local physician — often the fastest route to accommodations or local prescribing.

Honest note on medication

What is and is not possible across borders

Stimulant medication for ADHD is a controlled substance. A Greek prescription cannot be dispensed at a pharmacy in another country, and transporting controlled medication across borders is subject to strict limits. If you live outside Greece, the realistic routes are: a documented English-language report that speeds up prescribing by a physician in your country of residence; prescribing during periods when you are physically in Greece; or treatment without medication, which for many people produces meaningful improvement on its own. This is discussed openly and specifically for your situation in the assessment — no vague promises.

ADHD care in Greece — common questions

Can I get an ADHD diagnosis in Greece as an expat or visitor?

Yes. Assessment is carried out online by video call in fluent English, so you can be assessed wherever you are in Greece or abroad. The evaluation is individualised and usually completed over two sessions: the first covers history and clinical interview, the second covers validated instruments, differential diagnosis and the outcome.

How much does an ADHD assessment cost in Greece?

Each session costs 130 euro (first session 45 minutes, subsequent sessions 30 minutes). Because a diagnostic assessment normally takes two sessions, the typical total is 260 euro. If a more complex case requires additional sessions you are told in advance.

Can you prescribe ADHD medication in Greece?

Yes. As a psychiatrist licensed in Greece, Dr. Mylonas can diagnose ADHD and prescribe medication where clinically appropriate, with ongoing monitoring. Note that stimulant medication is a controlled substance: a Greek prescription cannot be dispensed in a pharmacy outside Greece, and cross-border transport of controlled medication is restricted.

I was diagnosed with ADHD abroad. Can you continue my treatment in Greece?

In most cases yes. After reviewing your records and completing a clinical assessment, treatment can usually be continued and monitored, subject to Greek prescribing regulations. This is a common request from people relocating to Greece.

Do you provide a written report I can use with my university or employer?

Yes. A written diagnostic report is issued in English or Greek. Most European universities accept it as documentation for accommodations such as extra examination time, though some institutions additionally require a local assessment, so check your institution's requirements.

Is an online assessment as reliable as an in-person one?

ADHD diagnosis is clinical: it rests on a structured interview, developmental history and validated instruments, all of which work fully by video. Telepsychiatry for ADHD is widely used internationally with documented reliability. In-person appointments in Trikala, Greece are also available.
